Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the EvidLabs website and the MetaScout application (the "Service") operated by EvidLabs (SMC-Private) Limited ("EvidLabs," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Eligibility. You must be at least 12 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account information and for any activities or actions that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable Use Policy. You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you must not, and must not attempt to, do the following:
   • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
   • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or collect information from the Service.
   • Resell, license, or sublicense any part of the Service.
   • Share your account credentials with any other person.
   • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
4. Intellectual Property Rights.
   1. Our Intellectual Property: We own all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all associated software, branding, and content provided by us.
   2. Your Content and Output: You retain full ownership of the inputs you provide to the Service ("Content") and the output (e.g., validated topics, hypotheses) generated by the Service based on your inputs ("Output").
   3. Our Use of Your Content: We will only use your Content to provide the Service to you. We will not use your Content or Output to train our AI models.

5. Disclaimers. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. EVIDLABS MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICE.

   WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, NOVELTY, FEASIBILITY, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY TOPIC OR INFORMATION GENERATED BY METASCOUT. THE OUTPUT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR INDEPENDENTLY VERIFYING AND VALIDATING ALL OUTPUT BEFORE UNDERTAKING ANY RESEARCH PROJECT.

6. Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL EVIDLABS, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

   OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO EVIDLABS IN THE PRECEDING TWELVE (12) MONTHS (IF ANY).

7. Termination. We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Governing Law. These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
9. Changes to Terms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
